Ghosts of Leadership Past – Spirit of Leadership Future

A Retreat for Men Seeking to Connect to Their Authentic Leader

In the quest for impact and influence, men struggle to find the approach, mindset and strategies for effective leadership in the 21st Century. Where are the models for impactful leadership? Who are we supposed to listen to and follow? Modern leadership principles speak of being authentic and vulnerable as a leader, yet historic and movie models suggest the traditional warrior approach to leadership (e.g. William Wallace in Braveheart, Dick Winters in Band of Brothers, Joshua Chamberlain in Gettysburg).

What IF the answer lies in the integration of the ghosts of the pasts and the leadership spirit of the future? In fact, what IF the reality is that the warrior leaders at Gettysburg, in World War II and in other conflicts DID model authentic and vulnerable leadership, while tapping into the courage and conviction of warrior leaders. What IF the truth is that warrior leadership is in fact authentic leadership? After all Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, the college professor and hero of Little Round Top, was described as having the “soul of the lion and the heart of the woman.”

If you’re ready to explore what it means to be a courageous and vulnerable leader in the spirit of Joshua Chamberlain, William Wallace and Dick Winters, join Jeff Nischwitz for a unique leadership experience on truly hallowed ground for Ghosts of Leadership Past – Spirit of Leadership Future in Gettysburg, PA on Sept 21-24 2017. The Ghosts of Leadership Past Experience

Over the course of four days, you and a small group of men will explore what it means to be a leader with intention, influence and impact, all framed in the context of the warrior leaders of the past. Ghosts of Leadership Past is an intimate leadership retreat experience for a small group of men (maximum of 15 men), which will include the following:band-of-brothers

  • Development of your personal leadership path with goals, commitments and accountability partners for the future

All of this will take place on what Abraham Lincoln called “hallowed ground” in the Gettysburg Address. You’ll leave this retreat experience with a new perspective of not only leadership but of yourself as a man and as a leader.

“The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced.” Abraham Lincoln, November 19, 1863 (Gettysburg PA)
